Why Gaussian Splatting?

Unlike static photos or 360° pans, 3D Gaussian Splatting reconstructs a true volumetric scene. Whether it's a living room or a luxury vehicle, viewers can freely navigate the space with depth and realism that traditional media simply can't deliver.

GS (4D Walkthrough) vs. Matterport (Like Google Streetview) — Know the Difference

Unlike Matterport (which focuses on interior rooms), GS captures everything from rooftop to curb appeal in a single photorealistic scene that renders in real time. Matterport has a "dollhouse" view and teleporting navigation. GS is fluid and cinematic.

With today's phones this new upgrade in 3D mapping systems is a major opportunity for greater viewing standards.

The LiDAR sensor on the new iPhone Pro is a real advantage. Dark surfaces reduce photogrammetry accuracy by 40–60%; LiDAR is unaffected. Reflective floors — mirrors and polished stone — confuse photogrammetry completely; LiDAR typically handles them cleanly. That's critical for real estate: white kitchens, glossy countertops, glass shower doors — all the things that ruin lesser scans.
